Monster truck show

We went to the Monster Truck Show at the Ike on Friday night. Gibson has always loved monster trucks, so this was a real treat for him. Gibson and Scotty actually got to ride around the track in one of the big trucks! The track was not really big enough for them to go real fast so one of the most fun moments of the night was when they let street cars and trucks out on the track to race...lol!! Those people were crazy!! One care completely broke its bumper off and another truck broke out its back glass, all for about 3 1/2 seconds of cheering after their run. I must say it was fun to watch though! : )

First Soccer Game

Gibson had his first ever soccer game today! Before we got there he gave us flags from the Monster Truck Show and said "wave these real high and cheer for me...that way they'll know we're Buxtons". I thought that was so cute. We had a great time, in spite of the fact that Gibson actually scored 1 point for the other team and 0 points for our team! ha!!! He ran his little heart out, and fell down every chance he got. Seriously, i think he thought falling down was part of the game. With all that falling down I'm surprised that we only walked away with two little scraped knees. What a great day!

comforted to comfort

Dear Lord, thank you for being a constant comfort to me. Help me to administer that same comfort to others. I realize that you have comforted me so that i can comfort others. I realize that its not about me, but about establishing your kingdom on this earth. Help me not to let my foolish pride stand in the way of sharing personal struggles with others in order to help them along this road of life.
